Discord by Linda Fazzary

Linda Fazzary is a painter and mixed media painter, living in Hector New York by Seneca Lake and a long time resident of the Finger Lakes region. Her artwork is inspired by  the intertwining relationships between people, animals, nature, and history. She sees herself in the role of storyteller using paint and mixed media to tell the story.

Weaving like a tapestry many layers of paint, patterns, collage, and symbology. The viewer is enticed to step into the story, take a deeper look to see what is beyond the facade.

She was an art teacher for many years in area public schools and also special art programs and workshops. Later she changed direction to design websites and graphic designs at Cornell University. She also freelances websites and graphic design.

She is a member of State of the Art Gallery,  Ithaca, NY  and exhibits at area galleries, art shows, and wineries. She is also a member of the Southern Tier Arts Council and the Trumansburg Conservatory of Art / CAYAC. This August, she will exhibit her work at MIX Art Gallery in her show, “Transformation Tales.” The opening reception is August 1 from 5–8 p.m., and the show runs through August 30.
